Metals and Care

Care Guide

To maintain the quality of your precious jewels, avoid exposure to harsh chemicals such as bleach and chlorine. This could potentially cause damage and discolouration. We also recommend removing your jewellery during labor-intensive work.

Plated & vermeil pieces must avoid exposure to H2O. Please remove your jewels when showering, exercising and sleeping. We recommend that you treat each piece with the upmost care.

Depending on the frequency of wear, tarnishing can occur over time. To keep your pieces in optimal condition, frequently wipe with a jewellery cleaning cloth.

We recommend storing your Celestial Jewellery in its original packaging, protecting it from extreme temperatures and damaging surfaces.

Celestial will NOT be held responsible for damage caused by neglect and mishandling, aswell as excessive wear.

Our Metals

At Celestial we love to create heirloom pieces that can be loved for many years to come. For this reason we mostly work with precious metals, such as; 14k and 18k solid gold, and vermeil.

Solid gold will always be considered the highest quality and is a valuable investment. It does not tarnish and maintains its original appearance. You will never regret investing in good quality jewellery that will last you a lifetime.

Gold vermeil is the best alternative to solid gold. It is high quality, low maintenance and is great for everyday wear. Gold vermeil jewellery consists of 2.5 micron thick gold plating on a base of sterling silver.

We also work with gold plated brass which is recommended for occasional wear. Brass jewellery is affordable, durable and can last a long time with the correct care. Our brass jewellery is nickel and cadmium free.

Kindly note that all jewellery no matter the metal requires care, maintenance & correct storage to prolong its quality and appearance. Continue reading below for our care guide.
